Zoo trip Tigers and tiger poses

Last weekend was our zoo trip! I brought some watercolour with me and played around a bit! Brian has the rest but here are some tigers from the zoo!

Usually I find them so hard to draw, but I already animated a muzzle lip sync assignment with a tiger, so it was much easier to draw this time! Below are my keys poses for the animation (I really need to work on keeping things on model lol!)

The tiger in my animation is talking to a tucan bird, after I animate the bird, I'll post up the entire animation

When In Rome part 2

These were really fun! I clearly demonstrated that I liked to paint more than sketching though

Death's Door, feat. Evan Hill

Hey! so last summer while I was in L.A. at Anime Expo, I met Evan Hill, who took an interest in this print I was selling.

I gave him permission to use the design for a 3D model project he was thinking of and was recently pleasantly surprised to see it finished! He did a very good job at keeping the feelings of my original illustration. Please take a look at his website for other cool stuff!

(there's a really cool animation and rigging details on this page of his site as well)
*all images were pulled from his website, copyright to Evan Hill 2012

This year I will again be selling more prints at Anime Expo in Los Angeles! If you're from the area come check it ouuut!

JUST DO IT

There are times when my sister and I both feel like "there's no point in living" once a huge project is finished lol. And right now even though I'm literally drowning in the amount of projects I keep picking up, I know that once I've finished everything and have a break I'll be asking myself that again. haha!

WHAT'S THE POINT OF LIVING? Without goals and accomplishments?

If you have the means to do great things, then just do it!

-hahahahah, I'm a little passionate about this stuff, hehehe please excuse my yelling!

Here are more daily doodles, from this week! The first one was if Hubba-Bubba bubblegum tape was a super heroine! (She can extend her fingers and legs into long pink delicious strips of bubblegum). The second is the newly introduced Fire Princess from Adventure Time! She's really scary.
her original name was "watermelondrea"

Full view for the details! (like grass blades/texture etc)
now I just need to animate something in this!

Hot Pans, get ur hot pans!

I finally finished the first painting assignment and the layout pan (or a portion of it)!!! Here are some shot tests/colour keys? for a sequence I'm working on! (click to zoom in!)

I'm just going to be animating the green spirit girl swimming in and out of the water and behind some rocks for my pan assignment (hopefully I'll have time to colour it too!)

This is a shot test of the little Roman boy at night in the enchanted umm pond/lake in a different lighting

It's was at this stage (above) when I became heartless about the composition and decided to just scrap almost everything lol. Sometimes it takes a bit of courage to destroy something you rendered for a couple hours! (and usually that destruction leads to some interesting compositions in like 5 minutes!)

And here is the original sketch of the bg. Thought it be fun to post up because it looked quite different from the final outcome.

It's the Ice Queen's Castle!

stormin the castle!

The Other Fish

Some concept work for another 24 hour film!! This time I'm attempting to animate in flash, and it prob actually won't be 24 hours... but I'm going to try. Below are some layouts/colour keys from some scenes and the various characters.

Atomic Betty!

I dun care if that name is taken already....!!!
daily doodlez begins today!
