This is a 40 minute study of my friend's fishtank skull on his desk. This is also the first time I used oil for oil painting...
I was too poor to afford the proper tools, so I painted some oil paintings with just taltine and oil paint before. The taltine dissolved the paint just the same, and it dried a little faster... but yea painting with linseed oil kicks taltine's ass. AHHAA.. it actually made painting this so much faster and easier.
As I got to my parents house I saw THIS in my mailbox! It's my copy of CHAM, the comic fiesta art collection that I painted the above image for back in the fall! It's a pretty thick artbook, much bigger than I thought it would be lol If you're in Malaysia, and purchased this book, thanks for supporting all the awesome artists in it!! (the digital image of my submission can be seen here!)
The book also came with a cute little pin, aww~
PS. dad bought our family a fancy new camera... a Canon 60D and it takes amazing photos even when I have no idea what I'm doing LOL
