Enchanted Beings: finished fairy queen

Finally finished this painting. I'm still not satisfied with it, but parts of it shows my rendering abilities so far, and I like the face a lot. But geeezus, green is so sickening now, and painting forests is becoming a "safe route" for me. I'm going to try to switch it up and not paint jungles or forests for a while!

After I got home today, for whatever reason, inspiration hit me like a rabbit on a highway. BAM and then I found myself drawing a Hanya mask and woman. lol. I really like it so far, the background was inspired by traditional Chinese water/brush paintings/Japanese Sumi-e? paintings.

Flat brush

Couple of digital sketches for fun. Playing with different brushes mostly, and trying new approaches to painting and composition. Liking this flat brush a lot. a lot a lot. a lot.

Life Drawing

Some 5 minute life drawings from extra life that I liked.

It's always a constant struggle between control and freedom, I'm always trying to be on "the edge of control."

painting creatures

the last post was a sorry attempt at not being the complete lazy looser i am, so here's some actual work I've been doing of late.

"Centaur"
-a speed paint, then some rendering on top
 "Fairy Queen"
-trying to push myself with this one
 Hades
-1 hour speed paint
"Death Do Us Part"
-my finished layout assignment

I hope to improve in composition, rendering it seems shouldn't be my first priority right now

BEEP BEEP BLOOP

BOOP inserting rough work, i'm too ashamed to post any more animations up. they're all ugly babies to me. so here's 5 minutes of my life devoted to you.

just some thumbnails done in photoshop, with some colour slapped across em
